Top Rest Stops for Truck Drivers in America

Experts recommend that drivers make a scheduled stop at least once every twenty minutes, especially when they’re undertaking a particularly long journey. Of course, you can’t just stop next to the side of the road and that’s why rest stops were invented.

Here are some of the best rest stops for truck drivers across the United States.

Top Rest Stops for Truck Drivers in America

The Iowa-80 Truck Stop

Location: IOWA

It doesn’t take much to guess that the Iowa-80 truck stop is located in Iowa, but did you know that this is the largest rest stop for truck drivers in the United States? If you’ve got any kind of bucket list for stops you have to make on your journey, this should be number one: There are plenty of attractions that go along with visiting the Iowa-80 stop, including your pick of restaurants.

Little America

Located In: WYOMING

Little America doesn’t look much like a truck stop – in fact, it has the look and feel of an old-school B&B. But there’s a lot more to Little America in Wyoming than you might think at first. It’s a truck stop in serious luxury, with added features like a swimming pool and golf course for when you want to stop over and really relax for the long journey that’s still looming ahead. They also have a 24/7 convenience store so you can get everything you need when you need it.

The Pine Cone

Location: WISCONSIN

The Pine Cone was started in the early 70s, and it’s built up an excellent reputation for being one of the best truck stops around – and many people travel here just to try some of the food. Speaking of the food, you’ll notice that most reviews that mention the Pine Cone make reference to the food – and that’s because the Pine Cone has a great selection with freshly made pies (among other things!) every day. It’s worth a stop-over, especially when you love excellent food.
